A myriad of topics will be covered, from culture to history and art to architecture, this exciting topic is sure to inspire! We will study similarities and differences between geographical features and every day life of London and differing capitals.

Alongside this, we will go on a journey to explore the life and works of Sir William Shakespeare by studying some of his most popular plays as well as they life of the inspirational playwright. Year 5 will also be putting our performing art skills to good use, all of the children will be involved in preparing, planning and delivering a production all about the life of William Shakespeare! We hope you are able to join us for these special occasions. Linking to our topic, Year 5 will also put their knowledge of electricity in science to the test by constructing an alarm circuit to protect the crown jewels in the Tower of London!

This is also an important term for Year 5 as the children will explore the changes that occur in the body during puberty. They will begin to make links between life cycles and these changes. We will start to learn about how conception occurs, and will develop a deeper understanding of relationships.

We have a really exciting term ahead!
