Applying for a Reception Place (September 2026 Intake)

Please read the School Admission Policies before applying, and provide any additional information or supporting documentation, where appropriate (e.g., verification from your place of worship where applicable).  Please contact the appropriate place of worship for details of their verification process, if appropriate.

  • Applications must be made through Lincolnshire County Council: School Admissions Information from Lincolnshire County Council
  • Full details of the application process are available at: https://www.lincolnshire.gov.uk/schools-education
  • Parents are welcome to arrange a visit the school-please call us on 01476 566121 if you would like to make an appointment.
  • Our Planned Admission Number (PAN) is 34 children.
  • Lincolnshire County Council requires children to start school in the school year in which they turn five.
  • Our school admits all children who turn five between 1 September and 31 August at the start of the academic year (the September before their 5th birthday).

Mid‑Year Applications

All mid‑year (in‑year) applications must also be made through Lincolnshire County Council.

What should I do if my child is refused a place?

You may request to join the school’s reserve list.  The reserve list is ordered according to the oversubscription criteria, not by date added.  Children may move up or down the list as families move into or out of the area.  You may also make a formal Appeal to the Local Authority. The governors do not take account of the time you have been on the list.

Transition for New Starters

To help children settle happily:

  • Once places are confirmed by the Local Authority, Reception starters are invited to two transition visits in the Summer Term.
  • Parents are invited to a welcome meeting introducing school life and routines.

Our aim is to help all children begin school confidently in a warm, supportive environment.

Under the Registration of Pupils Regulation Amendment Act 1988, schools must keep contact details for all living parents, whether or not they live with the child. Please ensure the school has up‑to‑date contact information for all parents.
