Easter 13.4 week 4

Hello!! I hope you had a lovely Easter and maybe you had a visit from the Easter bunny. We did!!

Easter bunny 1

I thought this week we could find out a bit more about the Easter bunny and where he might come from. I have found a lovely story for you to listen to.

THE STORY OF THE EASTER BUNNY by Katherine Tegen and Sally Anne Lambert

Everyone knows who the Easter Bunny is. Each year, he comes with a basket of painted eggs and chocolates for children. But not everybody knows where he comes...

We received a note from the Easter bunny!! This is what it said.....

I thought we could find out about the history of the Easter bunny. I found this for you to look at on Newsround https://www.bbc.co.uk/newsround/17597617

We also love to draw in my house. I thought we could have a go at drawing our own Easter bunny. Take a look at this video.

Here are some ideas for you to do:

Phonics

Have a go at the Education city worksheet on the trigraph 'igh'. Also have a go at the consonant digraphs worksheet and the common exception word game.

Maths

I have found some maths activities for you to have a go at. Cut out the bunnies and order them according to size. Have a go at the Easter code hunter too.

English

Why don't you have a go at writing your own thank you letter to the Easter bunny. Remember your capital letters and your full stops. Could you add a question and use a question mark? Use the template i have found if you are able to print it off.

Also, i thought it might be fun to find out about rabbits. Can you find out where they like to live and what they eat? Do all rabbits look the same? Maybe you could make a fact file with all of this information in.

I would love to see your letters to the Easter bunny and/or your fact files about rabbits either on Tapestry or email them to me using my new direct email receptionandyear1teachers@barrowby.lincs.sch.uk

Take care and have fun xxxx
