Local students access Young Ambassador training

 

Local sports charity Inspire+ has trained over 100 young people who will take on the prestigious role of a Young Ambassador in their school. The Ambassadors will promote the Inspire+ created and published ‘Olympic Legacy Challenge’ resource that will support the London 2012 Games Legacy aspiration to ‘inspire a generation’ locally. Vincent Brittain, Inspire+ CEO supported Platinum Ambassadors deliver the training ‘The Young Ambassadors were a huge reason for the success of the South Kesteven Cultural & Olympic Tour. I’m very sure that the Ambassadors will have an equally if not greater impact this year just like the Games Makers did at the Olympics.’
Young Ambassadors is a Youth Sport Trust programme and Inspire+ is supporting the local School Games Organising Team based at Priory Ruskin Academy enhance the initiative. Further training will see over 200 young people trained making it one of the biggest schemes in the country.
