African Icons

This week we are going to be learning about three men who played hugely important roles in the history of Africa and for people all over the world.

Their lives and stories should never be forgotten.

The first two men are Nelson Mandela and Doris Miller, the final is Archbishop Desmond Tutu who is still alive and working to promote peace all around the world. A few years ago, before any of you were born, Mrs Webster was lucky enough to meet Desmond Tutu and is a memory that will stay with her forever.

Enjoy your learning and remember to stay in touch - it's lovely hearing from you and seeing a few of you in school and around the village!

Read this story first, remember we are all different and all special!
