At Barrowby CE Primary School, we continually 'strive for excellence' evaluating our school's provision and its impact on our pupils. To this end, our school has been awarded:
On 24th May 2019, we were informed that we have now been successfully recognised for the 'excellent quality' of our Religious Education Curriculum and awarded:
5. Gold Award RE Quality Mark
Our Validation Visit took place on 2nd May 2019, where we were visited by Roxanne Fearns, an independent assessor for the RE Quality Mark. Roxanne met with Mr Batey, Mrs Selby and a number of our pupils to discuss the quality and impact of our Religious Education curriculum.
“Barrowby takes great pride in creating an environment whereby every child feels able to express their own ideas and beliefs whilst reflecting on the beliefs of others. It is a school that has embedded excellent RE and where good practice is shared both within and beyond the school community.”
Roxanne Fearns
We are all delighted with this achievement and are very proud of our school. A big thank you to Mrs Selby who is our RE Subject Lead as well as being a senior member of the school team: EYFS/KS1 Team Leader; our school staff who work tirelessly with the children; and of course our pupils who continue to explore the world in which they live deepening their religious literacy.
"A wonderful school whereby RE helps to promote excellent standards."
