As you may know, our school works very hard to promote physical activity and we have been recognised by the School Games programme; receiving the Gold School Games Mark for the past 4 consecutive years. This year, we were unsure if we would be able to qualify for the Gold School Games Mark as the school was closed from 23rd March until the 1st June, due to the Coronavirus.
We are delighted to announce that the School Games organisation has again awarded our school the School Games Mark for the Autumn and Spring terms in recognition of our ongoing commitment and achievement in the School Games Programme promoting sport and physical activity as well as receiving the School Games Virtual Mark recognising our support and commitment and engagement of virtual programmes, during the Summer term.
It is a true testament to our school, that even through adversity, the forced school closure and the global pandemic we come together as a school family and work for the benefit of all our children.

A big thank you to last year’s Sports Committee, to Mrs Banfield and the whole staff for tirelessly working to support all our children during the last academic year and lockdown. Go team Barrowby!
