School Update 24 - 14th April 2020

Even though it is the Easter holidays, the school continues to provide Emergency Childcare provision for those identified vulnerable children as well as children of key workers, so they can support the national emergency.

The Government have clearly stated:

Critical workers are defined as parents whose work is critical to the COVID-19 response, including those who work in health and social care and in other critical sectors.

However, many parents working in these critical sectors will be able to ensure their child is kept at home.

Every child who can be safely cared for at home should be, to limit the chance of the virus spreading.

Therefore, if children can stay safely at home, they should, to limit the chance of the virus spreading.

Please ensure you have responded to the ParentmailPMX surveys regarding Emergency Childcare and ordering Food Boxes for week beginning 20th April.

Please be mindful that the most effective way to communicate with the school is through email: enquiries@barrowby.lincs.sch.uk as there is no guarantee there will be a member of staff on hand to answer the telephone due to the reduction in staff working in school, during this time.

For those families that have ordered a Food Box (for this week), you can collect your Food Box from 12.30pm until 3.30pm today.

Today, the teachers have also added a new ‘weekly topic’ to each of their class pages.  They are:

  • Mr Caton-NEW:  Week 4 – Sporting Challenge with a role model quest

Even though it is the Easter holidays, you might want your child/ren to use some of the activities the teachers have prepared, this week.

Please feel free to share your child/ren(s) work with the teachers via the new e-mails provided:

Please do not use enquiries@barrowby.lincs.sch.uk for sharing work.

Please be aware that if you send photographs of children or of their work, we would like to use them in ‘slideshows’ which will be viewed on each class page of the school website, as a way of sharing and celebrating pupil’s work, at home.
