Food Boxes ordered for this week will be delivered to school today-Tuesday 21st April 2020 and can be collected from 12.30pm until 3.45pm.

Yesterday, the teachers added new content to their class pages.  During this term, the resources available on the Class Pages of the school website will follow the school’s Topics:

From Monday 20th April you will also be able to access daily lessons in English and Maths, as well as other core subjects, in a new version of the BBC Bitesize website as well as access purposeful online content through the newly formed Oak National Academy.  Your child/ren(s) class teacher will signpost various resources and online content through their Class Pages for you to use at home.

Please feel free to ‘pick n mix’ these online resources which will supplement the school’s Home Learning Guidance as well as the individual content available on the Class Pages.

Remember, as you begin the ‘new term’ and continue to support your child/ren with their home-learning I would like to encourage you to ‘reach out’ to your child’s class teacher, at least once a week

This could be simply to:

  • confirm that ‘all is well’ at home and your child is happy with the tasks that they are doing;
  • to share some work with your child’s teacher; or
  • to ask for further support around a particular activity.

The teachers and I remain on-hand to support you through these times.  Please use these e-mails:

Please be aware that if you send photographs of children or of their work, we would like to use these in ‘slideshows’ which will be viewed on each class page of the school website, as a way of sharing and celebrating pupil’s work, at home unless you state otherwise.

Slideshows so far feature:

In addition to the class pages, we are going to use our school’s Video Sharing Platform which can be found on the ‘Children’s Tab’ of the school website to support our parents further.  As and when the teachers receive request for support from parents they will endeavour to create a short Video and post it in this section of the school’s website.

Periodically, as part of the daily School Update, I will signpost the Video content available to support our parents, at home:
