School Update 47 - 15th May 2020

Today, I have attached Government guidance for parents entitled Return to School Guidance for Parents.  (See Letters on the school website) This document communicates the Governments key messages for parents with the possible school re-opening on the 1st June.

Next week, on Monday 18th May I will write to you with further information regarding the possible re-opening of our school and the implications for you and your child/ren.  I understand that these are uncertain times but once again thank you for your patience and understanding.

Thank you to all those children and parents who have contacted their class teachers, this week.  It has been lovely to hear from you, either to:

  • confirm that ‘all is well’ at home and your child is happy with the tasks that they are doing;
  • to share some work with your child’s teacher; as well as
  • to ask for further support around a particular activity.

Today, we would like to acknowledge the work completed at home by awarding our ‘Home Learning: Stars of the Week’ certificates.  These are awarded to children who have worked hard at home and have shared their work with their class teacher throughout the week.

  • continue to revise your times tables/associated division facts on the Times Tables Rockstars app and you could be next week’s Rock Legend;

Good luck everyone!

Please visit the Class Pages to view work that children have undertaken whilst at home, this week:

Please be aware that if you send photographs of children or of their work, we would like to use these in ‘slideshows’ which will be viewed on each class page of the school website, as a way of sharing and celebrating pupil’s work, at home unless you state otherwise.

On Monday 18th May, the class teachers will upload the next ‘weekly bite’ for children at home.

For those who have ordered Food Boxes, they will be delivered on Tuesday 19th May 2020.  You will be able to collect them between 12.30pm and 4.00pm.

Stay safe and enjoy your weekend.
