NSPCC Parental Workshop

· Does your child use or have access to an IPad, IPod, Smartphone, laptop, games console?

· Are you in the same room with them, when your child uses the internet to ‘game’ or ‘talk’?

· Do you really know what they are doing or who they are talking to?

NSPCC Workshop for Parents

O2 and the NSPCC have joined forces on a mission to help all children and their families in the UK stay safe online. Together, they’re offering useful tools; support and guidance to help parents and carers have conversations with their children about their online lives.

As part of this, they’re running free online safety workshops for parents and carers and will be hosting one here, at Barrowby CE Primary School, on Wednesday 22nd February, at 2pm, in the school hall.

This Workshop is open to all parents, grandparents and carers of all our families-Reception to Y6.

The 1 hour long workshop will help our parents and other ‘family adults’ better understand their child’s ‘online world’ and help them to build confidence, so that all adults feel equipped to keep their child/ren safe online, at home.

Until then, if you need any support or guidance, check out the website pages and step-by step guides online, call the O2 and NSPCC Online Safety Helpline on 0808 800 5002, or pop into your local O2 store for help from a guru.
