The Tiger who came to Tea

Let's have a story time together. Here is a video of me reading The Tiger Who Came To Tea.

Sit back, relax and enjoy!

Scroll down to see our bike ride adventure on Wednesday and our tiger baking on Thursday.

Terrance chose the story time book for the end of the week. I hope you enjoy it. You can find it below, after Thursday’s baking video, along with our special visitor!

I was inspired to paint my own tiger! Could you paint an animal you like?

Email me a picture of your painting, I'd love to see it.

I've enjoyed using some wooden bricks to create a tiger face! Can you see it? There are two pointy ears, some sharp teeth and a big nose! Can you spot the cubes? Cuboids? Cones?

Have you got any shapes around your house?

Terrance our class Tiger and I have been on a bike ride today.

We ended up having quite an adventure.
Photo 1: On the bike! Off we go!

Photo 2+3: Oooo a secret door! What could be behind it? Can you think of any ideas? Terrence thinks it’s might be a beautiful jungle with lots of trees to climb!

Photo 4: Time for a break and look at the beautiful surroundings. Over the fence we go!

Photo 5+6: It’s really sunny today!

Photo 7: What’s that siren 🚨 for? Oh! It’s a train! Hello!!

Photo 8: Back on the bike and off we go again

Photo 9: We LOVE tractors!! 🚜

Video 3: Where’s Terrance gone now? He’s found a post-box! What’s he trying to post?! Not my snack!! 😱 Have you written any letters? You could write to me and Terrance! Ask your adult to take a photo and post it in tapestry for me to see. We’d love to hear from you!

Photo 10+11: What a long and lovely bike ride! And just look at what we’ve found at the end - a beautiful sign of Spring...Daffodils! Do you know, they look like stars ⭐️ don’t they! The stars are always shining, they’re always there, we’ve just got to wait for the dark to see them twinkling. Have you got any ‘day stars’ in your garden? How many have you got? Do they all have the same number of petals?

Video 4: It’s the last photo of the day. Smile!! Terrance!!  Don’t eat the daffodils!!! Cheeky!!!

On Thursday Terrance had the bright idea of making a cake but he didn’t want just any cake! Oh no! He wanted a tiger cake! So I had a little think and spotted a very sorry looking banana! Banana cake! That’ll be tasty! We weighed all the ingredients and got mixing! I put half of the mixture into a different bowl and added coco powder and a little extra milk. We put the different coloured batter into the loaf tin a spoonful at a time. Terrance decided to give the mixture a little stir and we popped the loaf tin into the oven. Watch the video to see how it turned out!

Would the cake have tiger stripes on the inside? There's only one way to find out! Let's take a slice...

I think Terrance likes it! Yum, yum!
