Make your light shine, so that others will see the good that you do and
will praise your Father in heaven.
Matthew 5: 16
We feel this helps us to provide positive and rewarding experiences with equality of opportunity for all. We strive to prepare our children for a fulfilling role in society, and believe that the partnership between home, school and the community is central to preparing our children for the adult world. We have high expectations and standards, and encourage our children to reach them by teaching a broad based and relevant curriculum.
In the interests of security, the Governors ask that all visitors to the school, including parents use only the main office entrance to the school to make enquiries, appointments, or to deliver children outside of normal times. Adults using other entrances will be asked to leave. All adults coming into school must report to the front office to sign the Visitors’ Book on arrival and departure. These procedures give us greater security around school. No school can be totally secure, but we aim to provide optimum security for your children.
Safeguarding
The staff and governors of Barrowby CE Primary School are fully committed to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults. Policies and procedures are in place to provide a safe environment for your child; staff and governors undergo regular training in safeguarding matters. All staff are required to disclose any criminal convictions as part of the application process. Successful candidates for posts in school, and regular volunteers working with children, are required to have an enhanced DBS clearance, obtained via Lincolnshire County Council.
