Monsters, Myths and Legends

Picture 1

Throughout this Spring term, we shall be exploring and learning all about a range of Myths and Legends from around the World, with a particular emphasis on those originating in Ancient Greece.

During our English lessons, we will have the opportunity to read a wide variety of myths and legends from many different sources, analysing their similarities and differences, enabling us to write our own myths and legends inspired by our favourite tales.

Our maths lessons will include a cross-curricular link to the Ancient Greeks - being able to identify and represent numbers using Greek numerals.

Furthermore, our History and Geography this term will focus on life in Ancient Greece, considering what inspired the Greeks to write such exciting myths and comparing life in the past to life today. Focusing on major events during the Greek time period from the creation of democracy to the first ever Olympic games!

This promises to be an exciting topic with lots of opportunities to be inspired, engaged and use our imaginations.
